Saber Steel Group Inc. serves as an OEM supplier and supplier to assembly plants in North and South America. It was founded in 1991, and has its main office and warehouse in Brownsville, TX. The main products SSG supplies are bolts, nuts, washers, screws, clamps, fittings, abrasives, adhesives, and other class “C” products. Saber Steel Group has a variety of ways to supply the production lines from delivery FOB to a fully integrated supply system where SSG will set up an in-house warehouse in the client’s facility and be responsible for the supply of all materials to the workstations on the production lines.
Throughout the history of Saber Steel Group, Inc. the emphasis has always been on quality and through an ISO 9002 annual certification they ensure that a continuous quality improvement plan is in place.
Saber Steel Group main services include but are not limited to integration, inventory management, keep safety stock, in-house warehousing, delivery to production lines, and delivery to specifications. Mr. Ankjaer Jensen is the President and owner of Saber Steet Group, Inc.
TMAC supported Saber Steel Group to achieve ISO 9001 certifications and since 1991 has been a partner on several improvements and training including revisions and upgrades to the Quality Management System and Warehouse Safety initiatives.
Saber Steel Group has continued requesting TMAC support as needed for improvements and preparation for new contractual requirements SSG is very pleased with TMAC service, hence the strong relationship maintained for more than a decade. They are now looking into having TMAC support on systems development to comply with the Department of Defense requirements, training on blue print reading and internal auditor for the Quality Management System. Miguel Mugica and Silvia Zubizar-Garcia, TMAC Manufacturing Specialists provided training and technical assistance to SSG on ISO and Warehouse Safety. Mugica and Zubizar-Garcia have extensive hands on experience on Quality Management Systems and Safety Practices (OSHA initiatives).
